MSCI GCC Countries International Indices (for International Investors)
These indices aim to represent the universe of companies in the underlying country equity markets, based on conditions relevant to international investors, using Foreign Inclusion Factors (FIFs) incorporating the Foreign Ownership Limit (FOL) applicable to international investors.

The MSCI GCC Countries and the MSCI Arabian Markets Indices include the MSCI Saudi Arabia Index*, and are designed to reflect the conditions relevant to GCC country-based investors, as the Saudi Arabian equity market is open to GCC country-based investors. The MSCI Provisional GCC Countries and the MSCI Provisional Arabian Markets Indices include the MSCI Provisional Saudi Arabia Domestic Index and are also designed to reflect the conditions relevant to GCC country-based investors.

The MSCI GCC Countries ex Saudi Arabia and MSCI Arabian Markets ex Saudi Arabia, as well as the MSCI Provisional GCC Countries ex Saudi Arabia and the MSCI Provisional Arabian Markets ex Saudi Arabia Indices aim to reflect the view of international investors. These indices exclude the MSCI Saudi Arabia and MSCI Provisional Saudi Arabia Domestic Indices respectively, since the Saudi Arabian equity market is currently closed to international, non GCC country-based, investors.

*The MSCI Saudi Arabia Index aims to reflect the conditions relevant to GCC country-based investors. As announced on November 5, 2007, the MSCI GCC Countries Indices will be transitioning to the enhanced MSCI GCC Countries Indices Methodology in one single phase, in order to reflect the investment conditions relevant to international investors. The transition will be implemented as of the close of May 30, 2008. As a consequence of this transition, the current MSCI Saudi Arabia Index will be discontinued and only the current MSCI Provisional Saudi Arabia Domestic Index will remain (and be renamed MSCI Saudi Arabia Domestic Index).

MSCI Jordan, Egypt & Morocco Index

The MSCI Jordan, Egypt & Morocco Index is the aggregate of the MSCI Jordan, MSCI Egypt and MSCI Morocco Indices. This regional composite index aims to represent the universe of companies in the equity markets of these countries.

MSCI GCC Countries Index and MSCI Provisional GCC Countries Index*

The MSCI GCC Countries Index aims to represent the universe of companies in the equity markets of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. This regional index is the aggregate of the six country indices and represents the investment conditions relevant to GCC-based investors.

* As a reminder, the MSCI Provisional GCC Countries Index includes the index constituents of the MSCI Provisional Saudi Arabia Domestic Index in addition to the MSCI Provisional GCC Countries ex Saudi Arabia Index.

MSCI GCC Countries ex Saudi Arabia Index and MSCI Provisional GCC Countries ex Saudi Arabia Index

The MSCI GCC Countries ex Saudi Arabia Index aims to represent the universe of companies in the equity markets of United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. This regional index is the aggregate of five country indices and represents the investment conditions relevant to international investors.

MSCI Arabian Markets Index and MSCI Provisional Arabian Markets Index*

The MSCI Arabian Markets Index aims to represent the universe of companies in the GCC countries plus Jordan, Egypt, Morocco. Tunisia and Lebanon are included in the MSCI Provisional Arabian Markets Index. The MSCI Provisional Arabian Markets Index aims to represent the investment conditions relevant to GCC countries-based investors.

* As a reminder, the MSCI Provisional GCC Countries Index includes the index constituents of the MSCI Provisional Saudi Arabia Domestic Index in addition to the MSCI Provisional GCC Countries ex Saudi Arabia Index.

MSCI Arabian Markets ex Saudi Arabia Index and the MSCI Provisional Arabian Markets ex Saudi Arabia Index

The MSCI Arabian Markets ex Saudi Arabia Index aims to represent the universe of companies in the GCC countries, excluding Saudi Arabia, plus Jordan, Egypt, and Morocco. Tunisia and Lebanon are included in the MSCI Provisional Arabian Markets ex Saudi Arabia Index. The MSCI Provisional Arabian Markets ex Saudi Arabia Index aims to represent the investment conditions relevant to international investors.
